our season so far

Well our season didn't get off to the flying start that we always dreamed of. We dominated our first three games, but only scored twice and picked up two points. one of those via the penalty spot. The game against Villa was excusable as Sorenson had a great game and they always had lots of players behind the ball. One positive we got out of that game was Theo Walcott's debut, he played great and has done all season. It was the same with 'Boro. Man City was not. No offence, but they really are not all that great. They have poor attendances, players and barely score, so why couldn't we beat them like usual? Bad luck? Inability to score? seems like it. Thankfully our next league game after those three was probably the best result we'll get way from home this season. Man U-0 Arsenal-1. A dream result under the circumstances and with that came a huge lift in confidence. After that we won 4 in a row i think, 4 in the league? Anyway, my point is that that result was one of our defining moments this year, it gave us so much. The run of games that followed that was good. A great goal for van Persie against Charlton, good wins against Watford, Sheffield United, Porto, and Reading and West Brom. From then on our season has had it's ups and downs. Take November for example: a great win against Liverpool, Hamburg and Everton, but lost to WEST HAM FULHAM and BOLTON!!! thats nine points down the drain! a month of mixed emotions for sure. Then December, we beat Spurs 3-0, a great result, another result in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. I have to admit, the
2-2 draw with Portsmouth was a big moment for us. We came from two goals behind to draw with a team that has been fantastic this season. We also beat Wigan in a hardly noticed game at the JJB, thrased Blackburn in what will be one of this season's greatest games, beat Watford 2-1, (we could have done better) and somehow lost to Sheffield United! how did that happen? maybe with the twelve injuries we had, and some players nursing colds.
Then along came January, transfer time! not a lot happened for us, apart from Stokes, Larsson and Lauren leaving. As for the results they were fantastic. We went unbeaten and the only games we drew were in cup ties we eventually won. the 3-1 win at Liverpool was amazing. Anfield has is such a hard place to win, for so many reasons. Rosicky was incredible that game. Henry did a bit, untill his great goal, one of his best this year. The next game was just three days later, again at Anfield, and we won 6-3, with our reserves/youth/fringe players. ok Baptista and Walcott barely count, but not first joice in the first team. and for Baptista to score four-wow, it was the first time anyone did that against Liverpool at Anfield for i thin sixty years! I love this quote, from the BBC about that game: "looking at the Arsenal bench, i think they should all be at home doing there homework." Classic.
